Ontario reports 100 new COVID-19 deaths, daily cases drop below 3,000 Patricia D’Cunha

Ontario says 100 more people have died from COVID-19 as daily cases to below 3,000 for the second straight day.

A spokesperson for Health Minister said Friday’s new deaths included 46 people in Middlesex-London who died earlier during the pandemic.

The total number of people who have now died from the virus across Ontario sits at 5,289.

Provincial health officials reported 2,998 of new cases, a (rise/drop) from 3,326 cases the day before.

The province said 76,472 tests have been completed in the previous day.
