Antifa ringleader Deana Sherif held without bail

Deana Sherif has had her bail denied by an Ottawa judge.

Deana Sherif, a pro-trans anti-Poilievre Antifa-ringleader, has been ordered to stay in jail, after an Ottawa judge rejected her bail.

The news of Sherif’s imprisonment was corroborated by multiple sources that viewed the virtual trial, including Ottawa-based journalist Chris Dacey of Dacey Media.

Sherif was in court Sunday afternoon to attend a bail hearing after she was charged with multiple criminal offences, including assaulting a police officer.

The Antifa ringleader will be back in court on Wed. May 1, 2024. She is currently self-represented, but has been advised to retain a lawyer in the mean time.

The judge was not convinced Sherif made a strong enough argument for her release, however her exact reasoning can’t be reported due to a publication ban, according to lawyer and independent journalist Caryma Sa’d.

Police have previously refused to take action against members of Ottawa Antifa, specifically Sherif.

However, it appears her alleged decision to assault a police officer forced the agency to finally take action and press charges.
