The leader of Italy called out the Canadian prime minister for living in an alternate reality.
The leader of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, showed the world that she won’t tolerate Justin Trudeau’s mansplaining on LGBT rights.
Trudeau used his meeting with Meloni during the G7 Leaders Summit in Japan to lecture her on her perceived failings in upholding gay, lesbian, and transsexual rights in Italy.
The Associated Press reported Saturday that Meloni has strongly rejected this criticism from Trudeau, saying that Italy is doing just fine on LGBT rights.
Italy’s leader stated to the media that Trudeau has been reading too much “fake news” and consuming too much “propaganda,” adding that his assessment “doesn’t correspond to reality.”
