After separating from his wife, the Canadian prime minister is being accused of having ‘come out of the closet.‘
Over the years, many Canadians have speculated that Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is sexually attracted to men.
Now, a recent X (Twitter) post seems to confirm people’s long-standing suspicions. Trudeau posted a picture Sunday afternoon with him wearing a pink sweater, saying that he’s on “team Barbie.”
The alt-text for the picture reads, “Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Xavier Trudeau stand in front of a movie theatre entrance. They are dressed in pink. Behind them is a sign for the Barbie movie.”
This post has lead many to come to the conclusion Trudeau has a preference for men in the bedroom.
“Is this your coming out tweet?” wrote Ohio-based political commentator Evan Kilgore in response to Trudeau’s post.
“Just days after separating from his wife Justin Trudeau has come out as gay,” wrote a popular right-wing account by the name of Leftism.
“No wonder why your wife left you,” wrote Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg.
It is important to note that the Canadian prime minister has not explicitly stated he is gay, or attracted to men.
It is possible that Trudeau is simply a fan of Barbie, and posted this picture to drum up support from his woke voter base.
On Monday, Toronto Sun columnist Joe Warmington described the picture as troll “bait.” In his opinion, there is nothing wrong with taking one’s son to a movie, or wearing the colour pink.
The prime minister is known for pushing pro-LGBT narratives on social media, recently shaking hands at a Pride parade in Prince Edward Island (PEI).
