WEF denies Klaus Schwab hospitalization rumours

The 86-year old economic influencer is reportedly alive and well.

Claims of German-born Klaus Schwab’s hospitalization and death circulated on social media Sunday, going viral.

When contacted for comment, a spokesperson for the organization denied the claims, saying Schwab is in “excellent” health.

Yann Zopf, head of media for the World Economic Forum (WEF), provided this response to the claims:

“These claims are entirely baseless and unfounded. Professor Schwab’s health is excellent. Like many high-profile individuals and organizations, he and the World Economic Forum have been targeted by conspiracy narratives, as well as misinformation and disinformation campaigns.”

Toronto 99 contacted the WEF on Sunday for clarification and further comment, but did not receive a response.
