POLICE: Stabbing during Canada Day celebrations at Woodbine Beach

Toronto Police have alerted the public about a stabbing at Woodbine Beach, at the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard East and Northern Dancer Boulevard.

According to police, there were reports of people “shooting fireworks at each other,” afterwards a fight broke out. Police indicated two people have been stabbed, however injuries are non-life threatening. One victim was transferred to the hospital.

A similar incident happened on Woodbine Beach on June 12. A group of teenagers were firing “roman candles” into a crowd of people, a fight broke out, and a 16 year old was stabbed. Livingston Bromwell, 24, of St. Catharines, is facing one count of attempted murder for this attack.
