Conservatives poised to turn British Columbia blue in October

Both provincial and federal Conservative parties continue to make big gains across Canada.

The Conservative Party of B.C is poised to win the provincial election in the traditionally NDP province of British Columbia, according to experts.

The Conservative Party is gaining massive leads since the last provincial election when the party didn’t win a single seat.

While they are still tied with the NDP, the election could tip in the Conservative’s favour pending a successful ground game, wrote 338 Canada founder Philippe J. Fournier in a recent blog post.

Barring any major shifts in public opinion over the next four weeks, it seems the ground game will be the deciding factor in this election.”

Even the left-wing wire service Canadian Press highlighted the Conservative Party’s recent gains, with journalist Dirk Meissner writing the party is “now leading the charge for centre-right, anti-NDP voters.”

This highlights a shift in public opinion, whereby Conservative parties continue to rise in popularity. Pierre Poilievre has consistently dominated the polls since he was elected leader of the federal Conservative Party.
