Canada’s new prime minister has a lot of explaining to do if he wants to earn the trust of Canadians.
Mark Carney has been appointed the prime minister of Canada after winning the Liberal Party’s leadership race.
The economist, who formally served as the governor of the bank of England, has crossed paths and rubbed shoulders with some questionable people over the years, raising eyebrows on both sides of the political spectrum.
Prince Andrew

In 2014, Carney attended a dinner event hosted by the infamous Prince Andrew, a known associate of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as was reported by the Daily Mail.
A unnamed spokesperson for Buckingham Palace confirmed to the Daily Mail that the prince personally invited Carney to the event and footed the bill for the occasion.
The event was held a few years after Prince Andrew stepped down from his role as Britain’s trade envoy after his links to Epstein were made public.
Prince Andrew has been accused of sexually abusing an underage woman that was provided to him by Epstein.
It is not clear how the prince was able to contact Carney, or why Carney accepted the invitation. However, the allegations against the prince were public knowledge at this time.
Ghislaine Maxwell

In 2013, Carney was pictured with convicted sex offender and Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell during the Wilderness Festival in England, as was reported by True North.
When asked about the photograph, Carney’s campaign claimed Maxwell was a friend of Carney’s sister-in-law and that the two did not have any personal connections outside of being pictured at the same event together.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022 after being convicted of serious sex crimes in a Manhattan court.
Jeffrey Epstein

Epstein allegedly had the contact information for Carney’s sister-in-law, according to conservative advocacy group Canada Proud.
While there is no evidence to connect Carney to Epstein or any of his crimes, the close links are suspicious and warrant further investigation.
Further releases of the Epstein files may shed more light on the alleged connections between Carney and Epstein, if any connections exist.
